We Don’t Need More R-Rated Movies

PG-13 movies remain vastly more popular than R-Rated ones. So why do we produce a lot more R movies?

From 1995-2023, there were 3,403 PG-13 movies made. In the same time period, 5,682 R-rated movies hit theaters. Despite more R movies, PG-13 movies made twice the money and had twice the viewers. Source: The-Numbers.com
